Report: Georgia Southern coach Charlie Henry to get new 4-year deal

Georgia Southern and men's basketball coach Charlie Henry are in agreement on a new four-year contract, ESPN reported Thursday.
No financial terms were disclosed.
The Eagles finished the regular season at 16-15 and 8-10 in the Sun Belt Conference. To qualify for the NCAA Tournament, the No. 10-seeded Eagles would have needed to win six consecutive games. Instead, they won five, losing to No. 1 seed Troy 77-61 in the final.
Only UConn and North Carolina State had won five consecutive conference tournament games prior to Georgia Southern's run.
Georgia Southern hired Henry, then an assistant coach at Alabama, in March 2023. His prior coaching experience including stops with the Chicago Bulls, Iowa State and the Windy City Bulls of the G League.
